A new knowledge sharing platform connecting Korea and Eurasia

KEPI is an association comprised of Korean experts studying Russia and Eurasian space. Being an independent think tank, it consists of both senior and younger generation scholars from various academic fields. And we aim for openness and inclusiveness.

Over the past 30 years, research on Russia and the Eurasian region has grown steadily in Korea, and the academic tradition of looking at this region from a Korean perspective has now taken root to some extent. However, the importance and strategic value of this space in Korea’s future is unfortunately underestimated among domestic opinion leaders and policy makers.

Therefore, our primary goal is to encourage the collaboration among our members in analyzing major issues from a more objective and balanced perspective and to disseminate the results widely. In addition, we will strive to share diverse perspectives on common issues through cooperation with outstanding overseas researcher groups and to derive relevant policy proposals. Furthermore, we are planning to establish a mentoring network connecting experienced researchers with students interested in the Eurasian studies. We ask for your interest and encouragement.
